All my services are tailored to each individual dog. Pricing can vary between dogs even if they are the same breed. This depends on size, styling required and condition of coat.
At your first appointment you will be requested to fill out and sign a customer registration and disclaimer form, stating whether your dog’s vaccinations are up to date, if your dog has any medical conditions I should be aware of and an honest view of the temperament of your dog in a grooming situation.
Appointments are booked based on the breed and type of service.
Your First Visit – Please expect to leave your dog for about 1 to 3 hours, depending on the breed and coat condition. I work one to one and your first visit is very important as I like to get to know your dog and build a relationship with him/her. I take extensive notes about coat, haircut desired and demeanour, so that I know ahead of time for future visit’s.
Arriving For Drop Off/Collection On Time – It is important to me and to your dog that you are able to be on time for your appointment and collection. This allows me to provide undivided attention to your dog and the next appointment as well. If you have time constraints, please let me know ahead of time. If you are going to be late please call me to let me know as soon as possible.
De-matting Policy – When a dog’s coat is seriously matted it can be harmful to your dog. It can tear the skin, cause infection and cut off blood circulation to the affected areas. Matts can impair your dog’s movement, as many occur in the groin area, armpits, around tails and hygiene areas, making it very uncomfortable and painful for them. I will only de-matt small areas if I notice your dog has minor matts to detangle. Heavy matting or matting to the skin will require shaving in that area. You will be asked to provide permission to shave your dog in the event of heavy matting on the registration form, if you do not grant permission to do so, your dog will be returned to you as soon as heavy matting is discovered and you will still be charged for the time your dog was with me. If you give permission for me to shave your dog in the event of heavy matting, I will not hesitate to do so as I will always put the dog's welfare first. This can be a lengthy process as many matts are very close to the skin and great care must be taken when removing the coat. Therefore, additional charges will be incurred on top of the normal grooming fee.
Cancellation Policy – I require 48 hours for cancellation of appointments. Late cancellations and missed appointments will incur a cancellation fee payable before further appointments can be booked. I will remind you of your appointment 48 hours before, via text and/or email.
All my services are tailored to each individual dog. Pricing can vary between dogs even if they are the same breed. This depends on size, styling required and condition of coat. For these reasons I prefer not to advertise pricing on the website.
From visit to visit your price may vary depending on the length desired, condition of the coat and temperament of the dog. If you have any questions regarding your price, please do not hesitate to contact me. You will always know the price before you leave your dog with me.
De-matting and shave off incur extra charges. (Please see my de-matting policy above)
I always carry out a health check before any grooming session. This includes checking for parasites, lumps or bumps, condition of the skin and coat. e.g. eczema, matting. I also check the dogs eyes, ears, teeth, nails and paws to ensure that they are clean and healthy. This is free and is carried out on every dog as their welfare is my number one priority. I like to be aware of any problems/conditions that may cause any/further discomfort to your pet.
The Full Groom includes bathing, drying and brush out along with nail clipping, eyes and ears cleaning and excess hair removed from paw pads. Long haired breeds include full head and body styling based upon your dog’s breed standard and/or your individual style choice.
If necessary, ear plucking and a sanitary clip will be carried out. Paw pad balm treatment is also available at an additional cost of £1. This is beneficial for dry and cracked paw pads.
A full groom is recommended every 6-8 weeks.
Perfect for in-between grooms, to keep your fury friends looking their best. This also minimises the chances of matting.
Perfect for breeds that are prone to shedding and need their excess coat removing.
The De-Shed includes an additional cost to the Full Groom.
Perfect for introducing your puppy to grooming. The puppy groom is suitable for puppies from three to six months old.
